The company is a small business offering vintage and classic aircraft spares and equipment. It supplies parts Worldwide and to a wide range of customers from aircraft owners/cockpit restorers to major companies in the warbird restoration world.
I founded the company in 2005 after buying a small job lot of surplus spares, but I have been around aircraft and surplus spares all my life. Family on my Father’s side have been involved with aircraft and spares since around 1948 with companies still trading.
I am combining my experience I gained working for 25+ years at a major UK MRO and first hand experience in my Father’s business (he traded for 40+ years in Chipmunk, Dove and Heron spares).
My MRO experience was mainly in a Workshop environment with a few years Base Maintenance and covered repair and overhaul including engine work, component (including hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, wheels, brakes and landing gear), seats (both passenger and crew), literally everything from a toilet flushing valve repair through to complete aircraft sets of landing gear overhauls. During this period I worked my way to become a supervisor covering various disciplines.
